Nelson Hu

Hi! I’m Nelson, a current senior at Viewpoint School. As a high schooler, I’ve organized senior home concerts for my community, volunteered at Westminster Free Clinic, volunteered at Kaiser Permanente as a care ambassador, and I am currently on the board of the community service honor society of my school, CORE. Some of my favorite things to do are listen to classical music, edit videos, play the cello, and swim.

I first found my passion for teaching while tutoring my brother and coaching him in swimming. After discovering the wide inequalities in education that exist in Ventura based on geography and socioeconomic status, my friend James and I founded the Ventura County Education Network to help close that gap.
